9/16/2004: Hung models
warch Thursday Sep 16 05:04 PM Marshall Fields in downtown Chicago did one of these last year. I saw some images somewhere... xoxoxoBruce Thursday Sep 16 08:03 PM "Vertical catwalk" suggests they're modeling clothes. Isn't 65' a little high for that? Guess not if the clothes are bad. Pearcie (AUS) Friday Sep 17 12:20 AM Prank I'd like to see them set it up so that a 'dummy model' (not one with a low IQ but a fake person - not just another fashion executive - an actual mannequin or something similar) set it up so that the mannequin looks like a person and in the middle of the show comes plummeting down to earth when the cable 'snaps'. I reckon that'd scare the sh!t out of a whole bunch of ppl. chrisinhouston Friday Sep 17 12:36 PM Wonder what they get paid to do that? Does it qualify for hazardous duty pay? Actually I've done a fair amount of work with models for fashion and the rate for runway is pretty low. Tomas Rueda Friday Sep 17 02:20 PM Imagine Ralph Lauren trying to play polo on the side of a sky scraper. CzinZumerzet Monday Sep 20 10:07 AM In the late 90's I did a sponsored abseil down a twenty something storey bulding but went (as is the norm) backwards. The Paratroopers who set it up RAN down passing me on the way! It was hellish scary!
