I've seen a lot of bad websites in my day. But this amateur work is just so, so bad... well so bad it's camp. If I lived in New Jersey I would surely take massive loads of drugs to avoid the horror of this site.
What text accompanies the above graphic? "TO HELP PREVENT MARIJUANA USE BY YOUR KIDS, HELP THEM ROLL THIS." Yeah, yeah, that'll work just great! I'm surprised there are any drugs left in NJ!
Even stupider is a slogan they've come up with: "Drugs Don't Work in New Jersey." Leave aside the fact that more pharmaceutical companies locate there than any other state. Isn't this slogan a little self-defeating? If the drugs don't work, surely you don't need a website to combat them. Surely nobody will buy crack in Hoboken if it doesn't work. I'm imagining the throes of new freshmen going to Rutgers and Princeton, pulling furiously on bowls of weed and wondering why it doesn't work. Shoulda gone to SUNY or Penn State, I guess. And Christ, don't tell the NJ postal workers taking Cipro that the drugs don't work.
elSicomoro Monday Nov 12 06:55 PMBut UT, you have to admit that those smoking commercials NJ runs on TV here in Philadelphia are funny. The ones where parts of your body and items in your home are talking to you, trying to get you to quit smoking. I need to be under the influence and watch one of those sometime.
kaleidoscopic ziggurat Tuesday Nov 13 11:25 AMoh jeez -- too funny
