7/29/2003: Portable toilet art

Such a colorful, beautful thing, ain't it? I love when art uses simple geometrics and a simple, basic color palette.

No, these are toilets, portable ones. They're in Toronto, waiting to be installed for the Stones concert for SARS relief which is tomorrow. 450,000 people are expected to be relieving themselves.

Ah, the joy of sense memory... sun beating down, the heavy smell of antiseptic in the air, ears ringing, nice beer buzz, pulling the door open to a horrifying sight... nevermind.

me like dominoes! oops...

Urinbiz
a brilliant name coined by some guys in Wisconsin for their startup portable toilet company.

xoxoxoBruce  Tuesday Jul 29 05:59 PM

When the King Tut's Treasures show was in DC, the lines were hours long. They set up portable toilets on flatbed trailers by the dozens. When you went in it was like an airplane bathroom with stainless steel, blue water and all. Damn nice setup.

Leah  Tuesday Jul 29 06:35 PM

I hate using those toilets, but when nature calls sometimes one doesn't have a choice.

Was this your Ed Sullivan imitation?

Am I showing my age? Of course I am.

xoxoxoBruce  Friday Aug 1 05:20 PM

No, you're showing mine. I didn't think anyone here would pick up on that. 1 gold star for you, Dar.

OnyxCougar  Tuesday Aug 12 09:26 AM

When I read it, I heard "really big shew" in my head, but didn't think anything about it (like it was wierd or anything). *sigh*

xoxoxoBruce  Tuesday Aug 12 10:25 PM

Oh all right. You can have a gold star too.
I know Dar, life ain't fair.
