High-Speed Water Drop Photography by Heinz Maier.
Near as I can tell he’s a machine operator in a factory and this is a hobby.
I’ve seen these High Speed photography pictures of drops, usually water, splashing in a dish of liquid.
Maier’s pictures also grab some wild splashes but are enhanced even more with the colors.
It looks like sometimes he was dropping a ball, possibly more than one, maybe marbles.
If he used a colored water drop and different color liquid in the dish there could only be three colors in the photograph, but there’s more
than three in some. If I told you how he does it I’d have to kill you... just kidding, here’s his rig.
Several color filters which appear to be soft light rather than the transparent heat resistant gels.
There’s multiple flashes, the drip dropper, camera, and some sort of electronics to sync everything.
