Undertoad Saturday Jun 7 11:51 AM6/7/2003: Guizhou golden monkey
Happy Saturday! I have too many animal pics saved up and so some will have to come out on non-Fridays.
Guizhou golden monkeys are in China and these are in the Beijing Wildlife Garden. This is in fact the first young one born in captivity, which is a good thing because there are only 100 of them in the wild. Maybe their extinction is tied to an attitude problem?

If all the females look like her it's more than an attitude problem.
linknoid Saturday Jun 7 02:16 PMMy first reaction was that she was smiling...but I guess it's probably more likely to be a threatening posture than a smile.

Hey, you're talking to a guy who had a monkey bite scar on his right hand for years (truth). They're a little high strung.
Cochese Saturday Jun 7 07:58 PMThe face totally reminds me of the alien from Signs.
The Mad Hatter Sunday Jun 8 07:51 AMIs that little one pointing at the camera? It sure seems like it...
I can imagine that it is thinking, "Yo, mister. You're going down!"
