Dec 22nd, 2018 : Stop & Go Elvis

Younger folks don’t comprehend how big an impact Elvis had on the country.
It seems every generation feels a duty to cast aspersions on the previous generations idols.
How big? Every teenager is firmly convinced they are immortal, hence less than 10% of teens had gotten the Polio vaccine shots.
Elvis got the Salk vaccine on TV and six months later most teens were protected from Polio.
I tell you Elvis was big, the girls went crazy and the guys wanted to be close to the overheated girls.
After he was drafted, Elvis made a big hit in Friedberg Germany where he was stationed, and Bad Nauheim where he lived.

Quote:
The Wetterauer Zeitung reported Wednesday that Elvis Presley had been immortalized in three pedestrian lights in the Hessian city.
The red light shows the singer, who died in 1977, standing at the microphone. When the signal changes to green, Elvis is seen with his hands up performing his famous dance move.
The new signal system has been installed around the city's Elvis Presley Square.
Local politician Marion Götz told the paper that the Elvis traffic lights, which were designed by an artist, cost around €900.

Great idea. I'm working on other places.

I wonder if it will help keep people from getting hit after the first time they see them?

No, but they won't be hurt.

They will be all shook up, though.
