xoxoxoBruce Tuesday Sep 11 11:37 PMSept 12th, 2018 : Light Piles
We’ve all seen the pictures of the Earth from space at night.
Rich countries lit up like Christmas trees, poor countries just a few cites lit up, and North Korea a single dot.
Petrichor Studio feels that doesn’t tell the whole picture, like how much brighter is one city than another.
They took intensity and converted it to mountain height… of light.
An interactive lets you creep closer and closer to the home of your object of lust, so close you can almost peek in the bedroom window.
Ya sick bastard.
Looks to me like you can tell the shape and wealth of the suburbs too.

glatt Wednesday Sep 12 08:24 AMYeah. Different philosophies too. I prefer some darkness, but around here they keep installing brighter and brighter streetlights. Somebody must want them.
newtimer Wednesday Sep 12 08:48 PMI suspect that is really Denver, not Cheyenne.
xoxoxoBruce Wednesday Sep 12 10:17 PMNewtimer the signs pop up and disappear as you move around, up and down, in and out.
I noticed as I was changing angle and moving up the east coast there was no sign for NYC.
I think because it would have been behind the NJ signs.
Gravdigr Tuesday Sep 18 06:05 PMI thought this thread was gonna be about hemorrhoids.
I am not disappoint.
