This dream home was completely custom created by local artists and incorporates eco-friendly features. The space is heated and cooled with the use of geothermal energy with a solar heated pool. |

Well, Oregon artist and house developer Ed Bemis managed to make that possible. A whimsical home that is so detailed it is fit for royalty from your favorite book. |

Intricate, hand-made pieces are the cornerstone of what makes this home unique. Bemis spent 1 1/2 years alone carving the Brazilian mahogany arched front door. It’s all in the details, maple and cherry floors give the illusion of a flowing stream. This elaborate staircase was carved from manzanita branches (indigenous tree) |
Nothing like a cozy eat-in kitchen for that homey intimate feel.
Fire and Ice style mosaic dragons on the fireplace and bathroom decked out with blue Van Gogh granite.
Now I wonder, if I could talk one of you into buying this place what the commission would be on $7,600,000?
Did I mention the windows look-out onto Mount Ashland, Taowhywee Point, Wagner Butte, Mount Shasta, and Pilot Roc?

At least he didn't have to "carve" the manzanita, it comes that way.

My $49K house my not have nearly the square footage as this one, but at least I can afford stools for my kitchen, a couch for my living room, and soap for my bathtub.
