Dec 24th, 2016: Day Before Christmas

...................Twas the day before Christmas and all through the house
...................Every creature was stirring, even dog, cat, and mouse
...................The tree was listing with baubles, no longer stood fair
...................Dad surrounded with dead tall boys, snored in his chair

...................Mom having a melt down, with her head on the table
...................She'd so much to do, much more than she was able
...................So putting things off, till she'd just run out of time
...................Now it's too late to order gifts, from Amazon Prime

...................Now tomorrow is Christmas, she new all too well
...................But no gifts for the family, would make her life hell
...................As she sobbed and shivered, her head full of dread
...................In a flash came the answer, tell them Santa is dead



And a Happy New Year.

Old fat man, heavy suit, indoors... kinda adds up to trouble.

Instead of leaving milk and cookies out for Santa, perhaps it'd be better to leave a fire extinguisher and defibrillator.
