Dec 12th, 2016: Photo Contest

The BBC is running a wildlife photo contest.

Some of them are amazing. Actually all of them are amazing.

Check out all of them at the link.

Thanks, Bruce!

Planet Earth II, with David Attenborough at the helm, finished it's UK run last night.
It will be shown on BBC America commencing January 28th 2017.
I know that isn't exactly a mainstream channel in the US, but if you have cable you'll probably find it lurking in the basement of your programme guide.
Worth a look.

Can't wait!

Though maybe I want to; Blu-Ray has no commercials and better video quality.

I own the box set of the Planet Earth program, from back before it needed a version number.

Superlatives fail me. I love that show. And the behind the scenes segments never spoiled the magic - - quite the opposite. The lengths they went to to document the Sysiphean efforts of the dung beetles to conquer Mount Guano, unbelievable.

I recently finished Planet Earth on NetFlix.

Outstanding program.
