Isle of Lewis is way up at the top of Scotland, it's a bit chilly and few trees for fuel, so they burn peat.
These two ladies, back in 1916, a carrying baskets loaded with 30 kilos(66 lbs) of peat. Building twerking muscles.
Looks like they are carrying rags to wipe away sweat. No, they are Knitting! Gaelic multitasking. What are they knitting?
Wool, to pull over the men's eyes, so in two generations they'll be carrying all the groceries in from the car, for their delicate flowers.
