xoxoxoBruce Friday Mar 11 01:04 AMMar 11th, 2016: Dem Bones
Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones, used to be in living things... mostly whales, Beluga whales.
This hunting station at Spitsbergen, Svalbard, Norway, boiled down whales, seals, and walruses, for oil.
The station closed a hundred years ago because the Belugas in the area were gone. But the bones remain because it's less than 500 miles from the North Pole, there wasn't a lot of wildlife, that hadn't been shot or trapped, to chew them when they were fresh, and it's now illegal to touch them.
They be heritage, dude, like for the like tourists.
These pictures were taken by Juan-Carlos Muņoz , the photographer, not the soccer player.
