Jan 31st, 2016: Underwhelming Fossil Fish

ULC, University College London, Museums and Collection Blog(s), cover a range of topics.
Concerned generally with the vast number of specimens museums around the world have squirreled away in dusty boxes and closets that will never be put in the display rotation. The reason being they aren’t interesting to anyone except researchers, in other words they don’t pass the eye candy test.
This blog, now a year old, specifically has a mission to show the, “Underwhelming fossil fish of the month”.

Actually through showing and explaining these fossils they do become interesting, but in the display areas where they need to explain with signage or recordings, ain’t nobody got time for that.

They probably have better specimens requiring less explanation on display, so these little fishys are the everyday dishes that never see the dining room table.

Uh, that'd be UCL ... :p
Oh, and don't be surprised if the blog author gets a book deal. I love his dry [pun intended] style!

Well, I... uh,... er, checking... yes checking, testing to see if you were paying attention. Yeah that's it testing, congratulations, you passed with flying colors.

Christ, it took me 15 minutes to find out what UCL stands for, then blew it.
