Jan 8th, 2016: Owl Traffic

Hmm, Friday. That's means these dwellers will want something edible.
How about Buffalo Snowy Owl wings?

These were captured on Transport Quebec's traffic camera along Montreal's Highway 40.

Quote:
According to Barbara Frei, the director of the McGill Bird Observatory, this young female was probably looking for a place to perch.
"I think they are attracted specifically to the highway because it has open, grassy fields nearby which is perfect for hunting their favourite prey, which is small rodents," she said.
"They like to get a good lay of the land and the high lamp posts or other posts that they can perch on while hunting just suits them perfectly."

Sundae  Friday Jan 8 05:18 AM

I found these little critters perched in my hallway.
(They were Christmas presents, prior to despatch. By Royal Mail, not Owl Post.)

This one was Lola's.

I would say "Hint, Hint!" to get her to post Secret Santa photos, but I have let my own SS down badly this year.
Promise photos of my gorgeous presents (SIX of them!) this weekend, or I will never show my face here again.

Gorgeous IOTD, Bruce.

Super cool on both counts.

Sundae, I thought those were real when I first saw them. And then I read that you were mailing them, and I was all confused and had to go back to look at them again.

Don't be silly glatt, stamps would fall off that fuzz.
