October 29th, 2015: Shake Shake Shake, Shake your Kitty

At My Modern Met, the photographs by Carli Davidson , of cats shaking off water, make people smile, with maybe a giggle or two.

Davidson has done this before with dogs and puppies, and I get the feeling that experience may have an influence on her description.

Quote:
Using her high-speed camera, the artist humanely works with adorable felines, making sure the cats feel comfortable in her studio, to capture the moment they shake water off their bodies. The process involves an assistant dipping their hand in water and then gently petting the cats. Davidson also has a trained animal care professional clean the cats' ears. Both techniques cause these animals to shake off excess water and ear cleaner, which is when Davidson captures her quirky shot. The best part is that all cats involved in the Shake series are rescues. More than just a cute series of images, the project aims to promote adoption.
Sounds to me like she's heading off any accusations of kitty abuse.

Kittehs Good.

those are very unflattering pictures if the purpose is to encourage adoption.

Good one.
If I shook my head like that my eyes would be bulging, and tongue hanging out, too.
