April 7th, 2015: Bobcat Fishing

Dude walking on the beach in Florida snapped this picture of a Bobcat dragging a four foot shark out of the surf.

Quote:
The photo of a bobcat walking along the beach with a shark in its mouth is as astounding to see as it is to believe. A WPLG-TV viewer sent in the photo he snapped Monday evening while walking in Sebastian Inlet State Park Monday in Vero Beach.

The photographer said he noticed the bobcat staring at a shark in the water that was feeding on a smaller fish. The bobcat then leaped into the ocean, caught the shark and dragged it onto the beach. Once the bobcat saw the beachgoer, it dropped the four-foot shark and ran into the nearby woods.

Liz Barraco, a spokesperson with the FWC, said they believe the picture to be legitimate and were "very excited to see it."

1. Do not f*ck with sharks.
2. Do not, do not, DO NOT f*ck with bobcats.

I'm surprised by the size of that cat, I thought the Florida(southeastern) Bobcats were smaller. I guess everything hinges of the photographer's claim the shark was 4 foot. He said the cat dropped the shark after seeing him, so he should have gotten a good look at it.

Or, the photographer was not a he... could have been a she, with a husband who's been telling her for years he has 12 inches.

Dammit.

I thought maybe the pic got just slightly elongated.

Somehow.
