A train derailment near Superior, Montana sent these three brand new Boeing 737 fuselages into the Clark Fork River last Thursday.

xoxoxoBruce Friday Jul 11 06:43 PMThey were born in flat boring Wichita.
I'm sure there are Kansans who will extoll the virtues of the area, but face it UT got it right, they were born to soar.
As the nursery began to fill up the rumors started... ROAD TRIP!
The possibility of munching on Geoducks, seeing not just an ocean, but the mighty Pacific, and maybe, hope beyond hope, seeing Big-V!
All this anticipation, plus actually seeing the Rockies, created wet and slippery cradles which couldn't restrain them when the train started to rock & roll.
Some insurance company will be doing penance, but don't feel bad for them, they'll use this as an excuse to raise rates, which passes on to the railroad, Boeing, the airlines, and... you.
BigV Friday Jul 11 07:14 PMCorrect.
Except the flying part is premature, they're still in the (REALLY) big, fat caterpillar stage, waiting for their wings.

I totally get how many would find it boring, and I don't think it has quite the beauty of my native Missouri. But it is beautiful in its own way. Lots of good people and nice towns. We do have some crazies here...I'm sure you're all familiar with Westboro. You may also know that a gay rights group bought the across the street from them and painted it rainbow.

Sheldonrs Monday Jul 14 11:07 AMIt's sad when fuselages beach themselves. Wish they could have been towed back out to sea before they died.
