Feb 10th, 2014 Shady Tattooing

This is an example of a recent body-modification trend. This is not a fake leg, as it may seem at first glance. This was actually done to her own leg. Is it as painful as it looks? Yes. Although, it may not be what you think.

What you see is the latest in 3-d tattooing. The blends of special ink to make realistic shadows, and the attention to detail come into play when creating one of these pieces. The designs are generally simple, as opposed to intricate murals, but the degree of detail employed is astounding. Some of these examples are quite impressive. You may get the urge to slap somebody on the shoulder to save their life when the lighting is just right.

Not to burst your bubble, but here is the proof of photoshop,

And here is the original post done here on IotD.

xoxoxoBruce  Tuesday Feb 11 02:28 AM

I have seen some other interesting tats though...

Coign  Tuesday Feb 11 10:34 AM

I call shenanigans again. I have multiple tattoos and one of my best friends is the tattoo artist that does them. White ink on an African American does not show up.

And The Superman tattoo is too pristine and perfect without showing any skin imperfections through it. The warrior face might be real but I am still a bit skeptical.

Just click this Google link of Tattoos and Bright Colors. There is always a bit of fading and skin imperfections that show through in real tattoos.

Diaphone Jim  Tuesday Feb 11 12:28 PM

The top (leg) tattoo or whatever it is seems to show the background peeking through at the lower left. THAT must have hurt.
And I can't quite figure out what body part the picture of the gladiator is on.

xoxoxoBruce  Tuesday Feb 11 10:41 PM

The Gladiator appears to be on the inside of a bicep, Jim.

And Coign, they must be real otherwise they wouldn't be allowed to show them on the internet, it's against the rules.

P.S. Here is my colorful tattoo I have.

Undertoad  Wednesday Feb 12 12:29 PM

S'a good one Coign.

And thought out, of course 20 should be the number showing.

When you have hot di[c]e, it's critical!
