CAUTION - Potentially offensive/racist quote below - CAUTION
A devout Muslim boarded one of the famous black cabs in London. He curtly requested the cabbie to turn off the radio, because his religious teaching decreed that he must not listen to music; in the time of the prophet there was no music, especially Western music, which is the music of the infidel.
The cab driver politely switched off the radio, stopped the cab and opened the door.
The Muslim asked, "What are you doing?"
The cabbie answered, "In the time of the prophet there were no taxis, so please get out, and wait for a camel."

Sundae Tuesday Jan 22 01:23 PMLondon black cab drivers care more about their fares and tips than religion.
Actually I think fares and tips are their religion. The pub I worked in was a regular haunt for those off-duty.
They'd assume someone with views that strict wouldn't be taking a cab unless they were a foreigner.
"No probs. pal. Where you off to then? Pically-dically Circus is it? This time of day the best way is via Tower Bridge." (Inside knowledge not required, you get the idea of a pointless route).
They're an equitable bunch, they fleece anyone the same. Except cyclists. Those they just want to kill.
