As reported in many places including here, this strange piece of flotsam was found on Pompano Beach, Florida.

It was handed to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, who don't know what it is. I'm pretty sure it is not a dolphin.
Sundae Saturday Oct 13 06:25 AMIt's a candy dish made in an Occupational Therapy class.
Rather nice one too.
SPUCK Saturday Oct 13 07:25 AMMy money is on a giant squid.

CaliforniaMama Saturday Oct 13 10:57 AMI've got my eye on you!
One day, a couple of years ago, we went fishing on the wharf with my uncle and cousin. A generous fisherman left the remains of his orange roughie that he had been using for bait.
What is bait to one is an experience in grossness to two boys. One of them started playing with the eye, pushing it all around, feeling the gelatinous nature of the thing.
Before long, they had pretty much detached the eye. It was just hanging by a thread. They continued pushing on it and squeezing it until all the different "parts" were taken out of the eye sac.
Weird and cool all at the same time.
(I know I have pics, I just can't find them right now.)
