June 7, 2012 - The Birth of a Queen

Elizabeth Alexandra Mary was born on April 21, 1926. Here she is photographed in a christening robe that has been in the royal famly for generations.

This is one of the most beautiful old-time pictures I have seen. I love the way the Prince and his wife and baby are posed, forming a perfect triangle, yet maintaining a very natural tableau.

Gravdigr  Thursday Jun 7 03:43 PM

Triangle? I'm lost.

But, then again, I've seen and heard enough about Teh Queen this past week or so.

Yeah,she'soldbeenqueenforalongtime,Igetit,manyhappyreturnsmovealong.

ToastyOhs  Thursday Jun 7 04:29 PM

The corners of the triangle being his head and elbow and the babies head.

Meh...maybe.

Are you saying that Big Liz had Diana iced?

That stung.
