February 7, 2012 Whiskey To Go
jimhelm Tuesday Feb 7 11:22 AM oof ... I have a headache just from looking at that infinite monkey Tuesday Feb 7 11:27 AM I came, I saw, I vomited my face off. Gravdigr Tuesday Feb 7 12:01 PM Quote:
I think I'll pass on the canned liquor, all the same. Ibby Tuesday Feb 7 12:16 PM Eight shots? in an hour? blackout? Maybe in an elementary school, yeah. classicman Tuesday Feb 7 12:36 PM raises hand. Maybe I'll have memory loss and blackout after puking my guts up. glatt Tuesday Feb 7 12:53 PM I'd black out. Sundae Tuesday Feb 7 12:53 PM 80 proof? Gravdigr Tuesday Feb 7 01:51 PM A shot is an ounce-and-a-fifth isn't it? Sundae Tuesday Feb 7 01:54 PM Ours are 25ml, yours are 44 (yes, an ounce and a fifth) DanaC Tuesday Feb 7 02:29 PM Ahe, I was gonna say. With whiskey I could probably manage two or three doubles in an hour. But that's British doubles. BigV Tuesday Feb 7 05:42 PM That is some cheap whisky. Gravdigr Tuesday Feb 7 05:59 PMYeah, I talk big, but, what he said. Rhianne Tuesday Feb 7 06:06 PM !!! Pedantry alert !!! BigV Tuesday Feb 7 06:46 PM Quote:
Pete Zicato Tuesday Feb 7 10:06 PM DUI in a can. Flint Tuesday Feb 7 10:37 PM You would end up eating eight of these--remember these?--which might actually improve the situation. wolf Tuesday Feb 7 10:38 PM You can haz that cheezburger. Flint Tuesday Feb 7 10:40 PM I guess the cans would be...portable, but seriously, though, who never heard of a flask? A flask fits in your back pocket. footfootfoot Tuesday Feb 7 10:55 PMYou haz can cheezburger Quote:
monster Wednesday Feb 8 12:39 AM Ok, I feel so much better. I drink way, way too much beer and it doesn't have the effect on me it should, but -if I could stomach whisky at all- I'd be joining the blackout/barf crew in an hour easy peasy. I do about 4 beers an hour top speed. 2-3 is more like normal. That would be overkill in a can. SPUCK Wednesday Feb 8 06:46 AM The can should have a skull and crossbones on it. DanaC Wednesday Feb 8 06:48 AM Sticking that much whisky in a can that looks like a single serving is asking for alcoholic poisoning casualties. ZenGum Wednesday Feb 8 07:01 AM Absolutely. People with a large body mass and experience with alcohol could handle that, but a slim young bloke could probably kill himself with two, maybe even one. Sure, they could do that with a bottle, but a can is not resealable like a bottle and we are used to finishing a can quickly. A can implies that this is a reasonable amount to drink, in a quick time. Scriveyn Wednesday Feb 8 10:30 AM which reminds me ... xoxoxoBruce Friday Feb 10 12:56 AMOh, that puts you on par with the anti-contraceptive crowd. CaliforniaMama Wednesday Feb 15 10:12 AM Quote:
BTW, I did the equivalent with 1/2 pint of Jack Daniels. Chased, of course, with some kind of cheap beer. It all started with a fight with my mom and ended with me trying to figure out how in the H I was going to get down from my tree limb when the ground wouldn't stand still. (And then I had to ride on the back of a motorcycle. How DID i survive those days??) I was in high school then. I learned to choose my drinking spot very carefully after that. (Still can't remember how I got the booze in the first place. Certainly not mom . . .) Aliantha Wednesday Feb 15 06:02 PM Obviously I have some serious capacity for alcohol because I'm pretty sure I could drink that much vodka (my spirit of choice) in an hour without much trouble at all. Well, obviously not now, but if I weren't pregnant and trying to lose weight, oh yeah, and that's not really happening now either. Clodfobble Thursday Feb 16 03:44 PM Quote:
Sundae Thursday Feb 16 03:52 PM Or the original Gaelic, Uisge Beatha (water of life). infinite monkey Thursday Feb 16 03:57 PM We had a dwellar named that for a while. Sundae Thursday Feb 16 04:19 PM It was a whopper. monster Thursday Feb 16 09:09 PM And the incontinents: Whizz key.
