Griff Friday Nov 18 05:43 PMI heard on the radio that they are getting shooters to take about 80 deer off the Binghamton University campus. Maybe footie can get the gig. They have about 100 deer on 250 (?) acres, the place is about decimated.

With those odds maybe even I can score. Doe season ended tonight.
Tomorrow is buck season.
Sundae Sunday Nov 20 03:14 PMApparently we had a muntjac deer in the nature reserve at school.
My first question - oooh! can I see it?
My second - how are we going to get rid of it?
The second puzzled many staff. They didn't know that the muntjac is out of its natural habitat in England. It was introduced by the Duke of Bedford; Buckinghamshire has a border with Bedfordshire. It is a destructive animal in terms of native woodland.
I refer you to this Hungarian proverb:
Never trust a rabbit. They may look like a child’s toy but they eat your crops.
(although this is almost certainly made up by Jeremy Dyson)
