12/27/2002: Bulldog mud pack

We're dog nuts here at Chez Undertoad, basically providing our pups with every possible comfort. But even we wouldn't consider this reasonable. This is "Pooh" -- no, it's the name of the dog. Pooh is undergoing an esthetique skin and beauty treatment at a Tokyo establishment - a Pet Salon.

The mud pack part of the treatment includes imported Israeli mud. I don't know why Israeli mud is better. The whole package also includes a massage. It's supposed to improve their skin condition and circulation.

Since most dogs just love to get dirty and smelly, and enjoy getting scritched all over, it's probably an enjoyable experience for the canine.

But at a price of 10,000 yen ($82), it's not exactly a good value.

Here's a good example that not even I am perfect. His lips are WAYYY too big.

The next world I create, I'll make the dogs lips a bit smaller.

You're playing with us now. You knew that humans would change your design once they figured out how You set up genetics.

Humans took your perfectly fine Dog with its four-inch-long snout, and bred a Dog with no length to its snout at all. This left all that skin hanging as jowls.

In your perfect understanding of Your world and its future, You knew that humans would eventually figure out animal husbandry and how to breed for certain types. You could have made the skin such that it would adapt along with the snout, but You didn't.

Imported mud or not, I think I'd much rather just run the hose in that bald patch in the back yard and let nature take it's course ...

I suspect the mud is from Dead Sea area. This mud is well-known for skin care. But to threat a dog in Japan with Israeli mud is a bit overkill imho...

I suspect it has to do with all the blood that's soaking the ground in the general area. All those decades of absolutely pointless bloodshed has to be good for something, right? I suspect it gives the mud a cleansing effect. After all, they say a butcher's hands are always the cleanest of anyone's. (anyones? anyone's? whatever.)

I just suggested what I think, it has no connection to what is going on there. Wtf did you blow, I have no clue...

Sarcasm. It's not just for kids anymore.

Uryoces  Monday Dec 30 02:16 PM

God: I like those funny little dogs with the scrunched faces. They're cute! I'm glad I inspired man to create them!

By the way, has anyone seen my Kiwi? -- Why are you holding up a can of shoe polish?

Another shot appeared with the full profile view.

Also, they clarified that it was in fact dead sea mud.

Looks like that bitch loves the treatment!

(That is such a standard setup line that there will be no points awarded for completing the joke)

Looks like she likes it from behind, too.

Decades? Try millennia.

Gad! What are they teaching children in schools these days?

Well I know that, and you know that, but I figured I'd just leave it at recent history. "Peace in the Middle East" is the biggest oxymoron I've ever heard. It's like that commercial / catch phrase "never had it, never will".

Quzah.
