August 4, 2011 Man Bites Shark

I didn't realize until yesterday that it is shark week, so here you go!

Quote:
Sharks aren't coming after us; we're coming to them. Humans and sharks have been able to share the Earth for millions of years without a whole lot of interaction. But the two species are coming into contact more frequently than ever . . .they don't venture onto our territory; we encroach on theirs.
Quote:
Jaws aside, the risk of getting attacked by a shark is still much lower than getting killed by fireworks and, most likely, significantly lower than being killed in a vending machine accident.

Would it be possible to have a small slice of it? Preferably with some wasabi?

How do I get the quotes to show up below the image rather than showing on top?

Shark fin soup anyone?

This is far more tasty than a hair castle. Mmmmm.

You can't when you upload - only when you hotlink. Such is life.

On the other hand, vending machines have never hunted me.

Though there have been a few with Mountain Dew in them that called to me like Sirens.

Once you have uploaded the image, pull down the menu next to the paperclip icon and select you picture from there, and the machine will insert it in your post where the cursor is.

Oh and ... DOLPHIN!

Speaking of dolphins -

As I'm sure we all know, it's Shark Week. They showed this guy who wanted to prove that sharks don't hunt humans, don't want to bite humans so he and his buddies waded into a shallow area of about ten of them. Guess what happened.

yeah. A big shark bit the shite out of this guys calf muscle.
just chomped it right off. Loads of blood, pain, suffering, all of it.

After his leg healed, this guy went right back in the shallow area with all the sharks. Just to prove they didn't really want to bite him.

I call that guy uninsurable.

Definitely not operating with both oars in the water.

That's a rather polite word for it.

I was going to say that the only people killed by vending machines are idiots who are doing things to the vending machines which they ought to know they shouldn't do ... but that seems to apply to many of the people killed by sharks, too. Hmmm.
