Feb 27, 2011: micro film clips in anigif

I've never been too keen on using animated GIF images on the IotD. That is until I surfed upon this blog called If We Don't, Remember Me which features tiny edits of films, sometimes less than a second. Presented almost without comment, they're very striking.

Animated GIFs are usually quite large, which is why I've avoided them. But if the animation is very short, they will wind up smaller, to the point where a modem user can even see them in reasonable time.

Sometimes they're creepy. Because you don't expect movement in images like this; they're high-def so you expect them to be still.

Those are cool UT.

What is the second clip from?

Well, that's Peter Sellars, in a 1968 comedy called The Party.

They're like the waterfall pictures you get in Indian restaurants!
But, like, cool.

thanks limey! I just watched Sellers last night (Pink Panther Strikes Again)

I guess "reasonable time" is relative.
It took me 7 minutes for the top pic and a little over another one for number two.
When I came to the comment page, I discovered the other two which added about another 7, for 15 minutes total.
When I think about all the bazillion squared bytes of inane and pointless material sent 'round the world every minute, I truly shudder.

The site threeframes has a new one every day.

Metamucil seriously has a flavor called Berry BURST?

It's like Colon Blow Cereal!

SPUCK  Monday Feb 28 07:20 PM

Those 3fames were pretty lousy. I prefer more than three frames.

I don't remember how many frames this is, but...

I don't know why, but I could watch that little guy fuck off all day
