April 2, 2010: Dew Do

A couple of people sent these pictures saying you ought to see them, but didn't want to post them, so I guess I'm it.
Either these insects got caught in a heavy dew, or the hairspray stream of a Jersey Girl.

Quote:
Glistening in the early morning, these insects look like creatures from another planet as dew gathers on their sleeping bodies.
Captured in extreme close-up, one moth appears to be totally encrusted in diamonds as it rests on a twig.
Dragonflies, flies and beetles also take on an unearthly quality as the water droplets form on them.
These remarkable photographs were taken by physiotherapist Miroslaw Swietek at around 3am in the forest next to his home.
Using a torch, the 37-year-old amateur photographer hunts out the motionless bugs in the darkness before setting up his camera and flash just millimetres from them.
Check out all the pictures full size.

Fry in a light butter sauce. Serve on a bed of rice.

Somehow I don't think so.... The smoky spitting fat , heat, and dripping oil would not work out well.

Thanks for posting this, Bruce. I guess I don't check in with the Cellar early enough to submit the IotD.

Even without remembering, I'm really laughing.

Oh yeah...I just googled it too. Funny!

Good stuff, completely forgot the ref, but remembered the quote vaguely.

He could be british and therefor a torch would be a flashlight

It took me a while to figure that out in "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe".
