April 1, 2010: Bedrock wedding

If ya gotta do it... have fun, and be comfortable.

Quote:
Groom Ed Robinson, a 34-year-old fireman, wore Fred's orange and black furs and a black wig, while bride Gayle Watson was in traditional white - albeit a one-shouldered Wilma-style number teamed with a mockrock necklace and a vivid orange beehive.
The best man and maid of honour transformed into Barney and Betty Rubble, while the bridesmaid and page boy were Pebbles and Bam Bam.

There was even a Flintstones car created for the occasion and an inflatable giraffe filling in for family pet Dino.

I was gonna say Dino.

I'm sure it's fun getting married in the stone age but soon enough, they'll take eachother for granite.

Shawnee123  Thursday Apr 1 09:19 AM

Dino's on the right side of the pic. That giraffe is just a wannabe.

I hope they served Brontosaurus Burgers at the reception.

Of course they did, that's why they needed a blow up Giraffe to fill in for Dino.

Yabba Dabba (I) Dooooo!

I wonder how that conversation got started...

"Speaking of the wedding...remember my unhealthy fascination with The Flintstones..."

Shawnee123  Friday Apr 2 12:36 PM

My ex told me about his neighbors from long ago. Her name was Wilma. I knew her because I worked with her for a while, years ago. She was pissed at her husband and had locked him out and he was banging on the door yelling "Willllllllllmaaaaaaaaaaa"

I'd try to find a tube of that opening credit scene, but apparently this institution is afraid of Teh Tube.

Gravdigr  Friday Apr 2 01:48 PM

A Flintstones wedding...I think that would've been a deal-breaker right there.
