xoxoxoBruce Wednesday Mar 24 11:31 PMMar 24, 2010: Painting People
I'd seen Alexa Meade's work on a couple websites. She paints people, on people, turning them into human canvases. Reminds me of the guy killing animals and covering them with clay to make sculptures. Yeah, OK, it looks different but them what? Take a picture? That kind of loses the impact of the three dimensional painting. Tell them to cross their legs and hold it until the showing is over? That's mean.
Then glatt sent me pictures of one of her paintings taking the subway.
Whoa Nellie, that puts it in a whole new perspective.
Look at the people looking at him. You know they are busting a gut wanting to give him the third degree, but leery of him being a homocidal maniac or something. I think he's having fun.

Cicero Wednesday Mar 24 11:39 PMI think this is awesome.
Is it just me or did a painting just walk through the room?
glatt Thursday Mar 25 08:27 AMThanks, Bruce.
The look in this dude's eyes says it all. I wish I had seen this painted guy in person.
rditlkustoleit Thursday Mar 25 12:50 PMVery cool! Alters my sense of reality if I stare at it too long. Maybe that's just the Quaaludes kicking in; either way I like it.
I'm curious how Alexa monetizes this as the buying/selling of living art must be a little tricky

Gravdigr Thursday Mar 25 05:29 PMFor some reason, the pics bring to mind the video for the Aha tune 'Take On Me'. (And the 'Family Guy' parody.)
