Feb 22, 2010: Marines Picnic

If you go down in the woods today
You're sure of a big surprise.
If you go down in the woods today
You'd better go in disguise.

Every icky critter there ever was
Will gather there for certain, because
Today's the day the Marine Corps has it's picnic.

Quote:
The event – the largest of its kind in the Pacific – is taking place in Thailand and will run until February 11.
It sees 14,000 soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen from six countries taking part in the operations, described by US Ambassador Eric G John as ‘an important symbol of US military commitment to maintaining peace and security in Asia.’
As well as serving as a practical training event, the aim of the exercise is to promote regional peace and security. The exercises, which are taking place in the eastern Thai province of Rayong, are modelled on UN multi-national peace support operations scenarios.
An army that pukes together, keeps the peace together.

OK, xoxob, I can't type tonight, but you&I have been through much worse. I always carried the terry sausce, so it went down easier. Hell, I ate my first octopus at 60', only'cause she bit me first, but that's a story to be told at a campfire in our later years......
