xoxoxoBruce Friday Feb 12 12:46 AMFeb 12, 2010: Dulles Hangar Collapse
Most of you are probably sick of us in the lower half of the Boston-Washington Megalopolis, talking about our snow woes.
Especially since Washington (Which didn't get it at bad as Philly this winter ), is saturated with reporters with time on their hands.
But, here's one more from Dulles Airport.
EHOWA NSFW, has some pictures of this hangar which collapsed from the snow load on the roof.
Note, the front wheels of those bazillion dollar jets, are supposed to be on the ground, not up in the air...
like when Fat Louie sat in the back end of your little red wagon.

Philly got slightly more, true. But Philly is in the North. Washington isn't used to this kind of snow. It is literally the worst winter in history for Washington. It's all about expectations.
I'm sorry for the destruction of property at the Hanger in Dulles. It's a waste. Some multi-millionaires have had their toys destroyed, and we'll all pay for it with higher insurance premiums to cover their losses.
Cloud Friday Feb 12 10:03 AMAct of God.

Dealing with three blizzards, two of them 4 days apart, was not expected. I bought a snowblower 4 years ago, and hadn't used it till this winter.
Worst winter in Philly history, also, over 70 inches. If I get my hands on Punxsutawney Phil, he's stew.
Flint Friday Feb 12 11:57 AMWe had warehouse roofs collapse in North Texas, from 12" of snow.
The most snowfall in one calendar-day period in our recorded history.
spudcon Friday Feb 12 12:54 PMIf this global keeps on warming, Hawaii will have to import snowmobiles.
classicman Friday Feb 12 12:57 PMActually they predicted this type of weather to go along with the climate changing.
Happy Monkey Friday Feb 12 07:14 PMA warm Pacific gives us snow.
ZenGum Friday Feb 12 10:30 PMIf erection persists for more than four hours, see your aviation mechanic.

Actually, Hawaii is the only state without any snow, right now.

TheMercenary Sunday Feb 14 03:57 PMOk, it is going to be expensive to fix those.
Coign Monday Feb 15 10:15 AMI don't want this to come off as trolling but AGW (Anthropomorphic Global Warming) has become politicized and the science is not "settled". The models and scientific theories proposed just have not held up.
Normally I would just not bring this up at all as a lot of this might be considered opinion but when all these opinions mean that people in Washington now want to tax me on it, then I just can't keep silent anymore. Believe what you will, donate to your charities, sponsor your wind turbines, but don't forcibly take my money to pay for your faulty science. I will give you this link and let you do your own research.

xoxoxoBruce Monday Feb 15 10:26 AMUnfortunately the debate on global warming/climate change, has distracted us from the most important target... Energy Independence.
Undertoad Monday Feb 15 11:43 AMThey only talk about energy independence to distract us from the killer sharks!
xoxoxoBruce Monday Feb 15 12:03 PMNonsense, they're killer dolphins.
