Nov 17, 2009: Oh Mickey, you're so fine... I took a photo of this community-service exhibit at my apartment complex in Beijing. From what I was able to piece together, it was part of a population-control display (China's old one-child-per-family policy has gone away, but they still encourage people to keep the numbers semi-manageable.) Shawnee123 Tuesday Nov 17 10:47 AM That's a dildo? It looks like a baby bottle! Tawny Tuesday Nov 17 12:25 PM Mickey and dildos go together like Mom and apple pie. Sheldonrs Tuesday Nov 17 12:31 PMI'd hate to see any Mom using an apple pie the same way Mickey would use a dildo. Cloud Tuesday Nov 17 01:16 PM maybe it's a douche - er. or an enema apparatus! newtimer Tuesday Nov 17 01:21 PMFrom the nozzle on the tip, I can see how a baby could use it. But then what's the purpose of those yellow bristles if not side-wall-scrubbing-action? Shawnee123 Tuesday Nov 17 01:25 PM You mean like an inverse car wash? Tawny Tuesday Nov 17 02:36 PM "It's bristled for her pleasure." WillieO Tuesday Nov 17 03:35 PM This one time,...at band camp,... Queen of the Ryche Tuesday Nov 17 04:00 PM It looks like Mickey is saying" And it was thiiiiis big...." spudcon Tuesday Nov 17 05:26 PM After Minnie discovered Goofy, she started calling Mickey "Mini Mouse," so Mickey bought the big fancy dildo to win her back. Elspode Tuesday Nov 17 08:46 PM Hey, Disney theme parks are full of rides. Why shouldn't the display have the do it yourself version? Mayor of Shekou Tuesday Nov 17 09:45 PM I hate when people just post to say they saw a mistake, but this one's too important to let go. I live in Shenzhen, China, and as far as everyone here knows the rule is still in effect. The differences are that people are becoming wealthy enough that they can pay the fines so they don't care, and don't rely on government housing or jobs that they still lose if they have two kids. Farmers have always been exempt, and if a couple are both single kids then they are allowed 2. Other than that, the law still stands. xhaos01 Wednesday Nov 18 12:14 AM Well, I think my wife may have hit it on the head... xoxoxoBruce Wednesday Nov 18 01:43 AMExactly, Chinese Tickler. SPUCK Wednesday Nov 18 06:27 AM Thanks Mayor. newtimer Wednesday Nov 18 10:48 AM Quote:
Technically, the law is still on the books. But in reality, after factoring in everyone who is exempt (farmers, minorities, people who live in special regions, sibling-less parents, foreign-born kids, twins, handicapped first-borns) plus the growing number of Chinese who are so rich they can pay any fine or bribe to get their way, there are only about a dozen couples left who are actually affected by the rule. And, coincidentally, they all like Chairman Mouse. xoxoxoBruce Wednesday Nov 18 11:40 AM Quote:

And let's not forget the thousands upon thousands of babies that are suddenly no longer allowed to be adopted out internationally. The government says they are all being adopted domestically now. Sure they are. xoxoxoBruce Wednesday Nov 18 02:41 PM Maybe the government didn't own the house. After all, they just can't take a citizen's house away, people have rights.
