Real men support equality for women.
Next month, on Sunday August 23rd, real men will have a chance to join women in a national protest against discrimination.
| Currently, women who dare to be topless in public in the US are repeatedly being arrested, fined, humiliated, criminalized. On Sunday August 23rd, 2009, topless women will rally in great numbers across the USA to protest this gross inequality in the law and will demand that they be granted the fundamental right to be topless where men already enjoy that right according to the 14th amendment of the Constitution |

You know, when I was a little kid, all the kids used to run around under the hose topless in the summer, then one summer I started stripping off down to my undies for a run under the hose and mum told me to go put my togs (bathers/swimmers) on. When I asked why she told me because it's rude for girls not to wear a top over their chest.
I can remember feeling really embarrassed about my nipples and that feeling carried through to puberty when I started growing breasts. I thought that whole area was naughty and bad.
Of course, I still think that, but in a good way. 
Seriously though, more women should feel more comfortable about getting their gear off, particularly in places like the beach. In fact, I personally believe all beaches the world over should be clothing optional all the time.

I had a furious row with my ex because he was ogling a woman sunbathing topless in Cuba. French (évidemment!).
He thought because I pointed her out - topless sunbathing is illegal in Cuba - I was giving him permission to look. Well - "permission to look" isn't a relationship OR a legal requirement, but I ended up pretty pissed off when he stayed out on the balcony for over 10 minutes.
I was young. I was needlessly, pointlessly and stupidly jealous. I hope she didn't get brast cancer after all.
