June 3, 2009: Melonfolly

Thought you'd seen it all did you?

In Japan, land of efficiency, someone decided square was better. Then someone decided to one-up the square with pyramidal shapes. What's next?

They are created by growing them in tempered glass boxes, (see the one below), or in the other case acrylic pyramids.

Before you run out and buy these you might want to rethink it. At $100 for a square ones and $82 for the pyramids you might want to opt for the sirloin instead.

japanese people - almost as gullible as merkins.

I think you would have to have a little too much money to be willing to pay 100 bucks for one of those. They all taste the same so who cares?

glatt  Wednesday Jun 3 11:14 AM

You could make your own for less than $100.

zippyt  Wednesday Jun 3 06:09 PM

Cool .
Now what about Square hogs ??

You'd have to find a stud with a square root.

ZenGum  Wednesday Jun 3 09:00 PM

LOL ... ahh, memories of crazy shit.

The price tag reads

15750 yen.
I don't know about today's exchange rates to the US$ but it is usually around 100 yen to the dollar. So that is about 150 bucks.

The point of the square melon is to fit it in the fridge more efficiently. So look out for the new pyramid shaped fridge, coming soon!

Sperlock  Wednesday Jun 3 10:40 PM

Or show someone you really care and get them a heart-shaped watermelon.

And according to CNN, normal watermelons (in 2001 at least) cost anywhere from $15 to $25.

Bonsai kittens, anyone?
Attachment 23675

No, it is not real. It is a hoax. Okay? No need to get all outraged like a supposedly intelligent friend of mine did once.

SteveDallas  Thursday Jun 4 09:41 AM

That's soooo cute!!! I want one for my desk. Do they make the cat food in little sheets you can slide in?

dmg1969  Thursday Jun 4 09:48 AM

Jarred pussy? What will they think of next?

Shawnee123  Thursday Jun 4 09:51 AM

Dick in a box, of course.

DanaC  Thursday Jun 4 10:15 AM

Shawnee123  Thursday Jun 4 10:20 AM

Did you request notice when the product becomes available?

I know I did...NOT.
