xoxoxoBruce Saturday May 2 01:38 AMMay 2, 2009: 1 HP Luxury Vehicle
Join the "Green" revolution now, and when we run out of gas you'll be ahead of the curve with this 1 horsepower luxury vehicle.
OK, it is a luxury vehicle, and it is 1 horsepower, but it's designed for training race horses.

It might look look just a big can, but this is a piece of high-tech machinery able to monitor racing animals at speeds of up to 60 miles per hour. The nameless vehicle has some kind of enclosure in front of it, resembling a horse starting stall, in which animals can walk and gallop while being monitored by veterinarians and racing experts. It has a centered seat for the driver and two more for a racing specialist and a veterinary expert. Onboard technologies include heart, oxygen, breathing and fitness monitoring to make sure they are in top shape for official races.

I've a feeling they'll sell more these things marketing them to camel racers.

Yeah, but if you put one of these on the treadmill, with the plane on top of that ...
Looks like Batman meets Jane Austen to me.
I guess its not really a one-horsepower vehicle, if it does 60mph.
I think the weirdest thing is that we are using this amazing cutting edge technology to fine tune a form of transport that is effectively obsolete.
Clodfobble Saturday May 2 12:42 PMI had thought I remembered reading somewhere that the average horsepower of a horse was actually much more than one horsepower--it turns out I was wrong, but the Wiki article on horsepower is nonetheless really interesting.
xoxoxoBruce Saturday May 2 01:53 PMHorsepower is an accurate measurement for everything... except horses.

It does seem to be a bit on the tall side for horses doesn't it?
