October 16, 2008: Bird & Bunny

The proper way to eat a rabbit.

First check it over carefully for concealed weapons, then wash it thoroughly.

When it's safe and clean, down the hatch.

It works for white bunnies too.

Aliantha  Thursday Oct 16 12:27 AM

Probably the first furry fish that bird's ever eaten.

zippyt  Thursday Oct 16 12:48 AM

now if a turkey would just eat that herren
You could have Turk-Hair-Ren !!!

Now the question is , Fryed or Roasted ???

ZenGum  Thursday Oct 16 12:50 AM

Where was Mama Squirrel when Bunny needed her???

bluecuracao  Thursday Oct 16 02:08 AM

Um, I think that bird drowned the bunny before he et it. Makes sense--he'd go down a lot easier that way.

ZenGum  Thursday Oct 16 02:10 AM

Blue, the correct term is "aqua-marinaded".

bluecuracao  Thursday Oct 16 02:21 AM

Zen, it's obvious that you watch far too much Food Channel.

SPUCK  Thursday Oct 16 05:47 AM

Moments later..

Antimatter  Thursday Oct 16 07:16 AM

A true time-saver - self-stuffing bird!

Now, if only it could be taught to skin the rabbit and remove bones and intestines first this would really be a hit.

Probably thought it was eating a fur-bearing trout. I saw one such fish mounted and hanging on the wall of a Canadian bar (before I had anything to drink, mind).

Actually, I don't think that's the case. I'm a photographer who spends a good amount of time watching herons. I've seen them do the same "wash my food" thing with larger fish they're trying to get down. I think they're just trying to lube them up so they slide down easier. Not actually drown them. Cuz, uh, drowning a fish don't make no sense.

bold mine

Awesome. That makes sense!

birdclaw  Thursday Oct 16 01:34 PM

Geez. As if I weren't already afraid enough of birds. Whats next my cat?

Well I think they may have put something in your meal then. lol Even Wiki says it's a hoax (and that the article has no references). You don't really believe you saw a furry fish do you?

Treasenuak  Thursday Oct 16 06:45 PM

Ugh. Heron tastes fishier than FISH

Of course it's a hoax - and from Wiki - double hint there. Or they are as real as jackalopes, which I have seen mounted and hung on walls, too. Am I the only one who sees these things?

classicman  Thursday Oct 16 09:38 PM

pretty much

Cicero  Thursday Oct 16 09:41 PM

Hey, do you guys remember this link?

No, I've seen several furry trout, and jackalopes. None alive, of course, but no, you're not the only one.

robots  Friday Oct 17 02:37 PM

I think the bird just used whatever rocks were in the water to knock the bunny unconscious or kill it. If it did it in the grass or dirt, it would just dirty the bunny

glatt  Friday Oct 17 02:40 PM

Hi robots! Welcome to the Cellar.

Gravdigr  Friday Oct 17 04:22 PM

What, you never had rabbit sushi?

He's not choking, he just has a hare in his throat.

Jodeli  Friday Oct 17 06:01 PM

This is my first visit here. It looks cool!

ZenGum  Friday Oct 17 07:22 PM

Hello Jodeli, and welcome to the cellar. Did you bring us a bunny?

monster  Friday Oct 17 09:43 PM

She brought us a bunny but she eated it....

hipshot  Saturday Oct 18 01:43 AM

Hey, Bruce! Where's the love? I SO wanted to see my name in lights!

xoxoxoBruce  Saturday Oct 18 01:49 AM

What the hell are you babbling about?

hipshot  Saturday Oct 18 10:56 AM

I e-mailed you the link to these photos last week!

xoxoxoBruce  Saturday Oct 18 11:20 AM

I didn't get them.

But why send them to me, why not post them?

hipshot  Saturday Oct 18 11:34 AM

I dunno...Ignorant...Lazy...Never posted a photo before so I blindly flailed around with something I thought was cool...

Pick one. Guess I'd better study a little!

xoxoxoBruce  Saturday Oct 18 12:58 PM

Here ya go.

hipshot  Saturday Oct 18 07:06 PM

That ought to get me on the right track. Thanks!
