September 2, 2008: Thoroughbred

In an effort to increase bone mass in thoroughbred horses some animal scientists are conducting their own experimentation....

Well not really!

We were washing, grooming and photographing calves prior to offering them for sale and we penned up the bull while we were artificially inseminating cows. When we were trading pens the donkey ended up in the pen with the bull, no big deal she is always in with cows but we never expected she was in heat or that this bull would literally go for a ________ [you fill in the blank] When you realize that a bull can take less than 10 seconds in some cases to do his job, photographing this bizarre incident was pure chance. Both consenting animals declined comment.

DucksNuts  Wednesday Sep 3 06:04 AM

Hmmm....was she in heat? or was the bull just releasing some....err...pent up frustrations because of the cows that you were inseminating were in heat?

Coz, I wouldnt have thought the bull would be interested in a donkey in heat...being as other species dont usually notice such things?

We had a bull that used to dry hump a tree stump when there were other cows around that were in heat that he couldnt get to.

Oh and UT....you needa clean my laptop...I spat Coke on it
