6/28/2002: Pygmy Loris

Pygmy Loris? Happy Friday!

Two infant pygmy lorises make their public debut at the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley, Minn., Friday, June 21, 2002. The loris twins, which weighed approximately 20 grams each at birth on June 3, 2002, now weigh approximately 60 grams each and are the first successful twin set ever born at the Minnesota Zoo.

The eyes have it!

Four fingers? I had them pegged for Dr. Seuss.

I noticed the 4 fingers also, and wondered if there might be a thumb or thumblike projection.

That would be The Lorax. A whole different cat!

Long before saving the earth became a global concern, Dr. Seuss, speaking through his character the Lorax, warned against mindless progress and the danger it posed to the world's natural environment.

The best book I ever read to my kids a hundred thousand times!

Of course Seuss had his dark side as well
