Undertoad Wednesday Jun 12 10:10 PM6/12/2002: Russian mob
Even the Ruskies are learning the joys of football hooliganism. Here, fans overturn a car in central Moscow June 9, 2002 following Russia's defeat by Japan in their world cup final football match. One man died and at least 30 were injured after mass brawls erupted near a giant screen where about 3,000 fans gathered to watch the match.
Get beat by Japan, turn over a German vehicle.
elSicomoro Wednesday Jun 12 10:17 PMWell, the Russians and Japanese DO have some war history. And I imagine the same might have happened if we had beat them.
Although, we ARE talking about soccer here...

I hope whoever owned that car doesn't feel the same way about it as I feel about mine or there will be at least one protester who will regret being there.

Technically they are still at war. Not to mention being the first modern battle where the west lost ot the east. Still haven't handed back thsoe islands either. Its a nasty sticking point on both sides. Japanese have been protesting outside the hotel where the ruskies are staying, keeping them awake and stuff.
