October 3, 2007: Wolf goes salmon fishing

xoB sends along this set, but it's going around the web. No further information is available so far, so it's presented here without much word from me. Enjoy.

UPDATE: turns out these are stills from this pretty remarkable segment of video. 1:18 and worth it to see the wolf in action. Totally awesome.

Meh...that's nothing. You should see my co-workers when there are free cookies in the kitchen.

Trilby  Wednesday Oct 3 03:35 PM

Good boy!

Trilby  Wednesday Oct 3 03:46 PM

I have to admit that when I saw the title I immediately thought of "our" wolf and not a wolf-wolf!

orthodoc  Wednesday Oct 3 04:05 PM

Heh - so did I!

me too

Undertoad  Wednesday Oct 3 04:54 PM

When I wrote it, I realized there'd be that expectation... but then I left it in.

rkzenrage  Wednesday Oct 3 04:55 PM

Too cool!

piercehawkeye45  Wednesday Oct 3 06:18 PM

I know it doesn't say where this takes place but is there any guesses? Canada?

Or Alaska. Or maybe Myamar.

coolcat  Wednesday Oct 3 09:28 PM

Very cool! Reminds me of these fishing cats.

Sundae  Thursday Oct 4 05:34 AM

Having seen my cats go after flies I am surprised I haven't had a "present" yet. Slightly OT but I dreamed they caught a sparrow the other night, but didn't kill it, and I was distraught about the idea of killing it myself to put it out of its misery.

Back on topic, I expected an IOTD about shooting salmon

Or eating wolves.

wolf  Thursday Oct 4 11:59 AM

I love splashing around in ice cold water like that. Yah.

SPUCK  Saturday Oct 6 04:26 AM

That wolf is going to have fish farts..

Sundae  Saturday Oct 6 10:39 AM

I have never had fish farts in my life.
Fish burps, yes. Cabbage farts, yes. Sugar Puffs wee, yes.

I feel I'm missing out now.

cubberly  Tuesday Oct 30 10:14 AM

I guess you don't need nine inch nails to catch a salmon.
