5/12/2002: First Segway accident
kisrael Sunday May 19 03:16 PM Given all the hype about the stablity of this thing, it seems almost odd to hear about it having this kind of accident...sort of like a Titanic thing..."God himself couldn't trip that scooter!" WabUfvot5 Monday May 27 06:22 AM Embarrasing I feel sorry for this guy. His big claim to fame is he's going to be rembered for falling off one of the most stable contraptions known. I imagine the Segway is pretty safe. Really, imagine how often people get injured from biking / skating / walking. Angelus Monday May 27 12:00 PM Still standing The thing that gets me about this picture is that the Segway is still standing. Griff Wednesday Jan 22 02:55 PM In hopes of preventing futher catastrophes San Francisco has banned the Segway. I feel safer, do you feel safer, I feel safer. warch Wednesday Jan 22 06:39 PM Well the HILLS, MY GOD, THE HILLS! The speeds one could achieve, a new Xtreme sport. wolf Wednesday Jan 22 08:05 PM Oh, dear. Slang will be devestated. richlevy Monday Jan 27 07:33 PM Quote:
Angelus Monday Jan 27 07:48 PM Lombard Street The twisty street is named "Lombard Street". It's actually one block of a much longer street. The times that I've taken people to see it, I haven't seen any more cops around than normal. A skakeboarder would kill himself if he tried to get any type of speed down the thing.
