Undertoad Monday Jul 10 10:11 AM7/10/2006: Bellyflop 2006
Ah, the yearly bellyflop, spotted this year in a gallery at the Sydney Morning Herald. This top event in the yearly Redneck Games has previously been documented in 2005, 2004, and the 2001 shot which seemed to start the attention here.
This is the smallest of all the annual shots, and so perhaps less interesting. But I could not help but post it today, without waiting to see if a larger copy turns up.
New Line has optioned the rights to a movie called "Redneck Games", so perhaps this will be the last in a series of these yearly shots, as the whole thing becomes less mind-boggling if everyone knows about it.
BigV Monday Jul 10 12:29 PMThat is the most enormous pumpkin pie I have ever seen!
Elspode Monday Jul 10 01:26 PMPoor form, that. His face is going to hit first, making it a face flop.
Torrere Monday Jul 10 05:31 PMI expect the Cellar to send camera crews to the Redneck Games in the next few years.
Leah Monday Jul 10 07:06 PMHell, I did one of those bellyflops in Thailand on holidays recently by accident. The people sun baking around the pool were not very impressed, it hurt, but I got out like nothing had gone wrong and laughing.
Ibby Monday Jul 10 07:16 PMHell, I should just bring a camera to the next family reuniony thing.
My mother is from Huntsville and my papa is from fayette (tiny little town just south of tuscaloosa).
All of my family members live in alabama, mississippi, georgia, or tennessee, with the exception of two in maryland and two in vermont.

Well, that shadow prevents you from seeing just how far down his belly extends. For all you know, he's balanced like that.

capnhowdy Tuesday Jul 11 05:23 PMI intended to go down the road and take some pics of the Redneck Games last Sat. I just couldn't seem to force myself to be exposed to so many idio... I mean rednecks at one time. Someone told me (unofficially) that there were upwards of 7,000 people down there. Wow. 5 miles from my home.
